Neomastitar
Intramammary injection for the treatment and prophylaxis of mastitis during the dry cow period.
Composition
Each syringe contains:
Procaine penicillin 500 mg (500.000 I.U.)
Neomycin base (as the sulphate) 300 mg
Slow release base to 8 g
Administration
The treatment is given at drying off.
Infuse the contents of one syringe into each quarter immediately after stripping the udder and cleansing the teats.

Warning
Neo-Mastitar is intended for a 'dry cow' period of at least 5 weeks.
In case of a shorter 'dry cow' period, milk should be examined for antibiotic content after calving before sale.
If used for the 'drying off' of one quarter, milk from the other quarters should not be offered for sale during the following two milkings. When used in lactating quarters (which is NOT recommended) milk from these quarters should be withheld for 5 weeks.
