Composition
1ml of the solution, ready for injection, contains 50 mg oxytetracycline dihydrate, corresponding to 50 mg oxytetracycline hydrochloride.

Rickettsiae, and large virus species.

Prophylaxis against infection after surgical and gynaecological treatment.

Administration and Dosage
Dosage always depends on the weight of the animal, and the nature and severity of the disease.
In most cases a single dose of the quantity recommended will suffice. If necessary, another dose should be given at least 24 hours after commencement of treatment. In i.m. and s.c. administration no more than 10 ml may be injected at any one site.

After s.c. administration transient swelling at the site of injection may be expected to occur.
For dogs, i.v. administration is not recommended in view of species-specific sensitivity.
